Coaching Opportunity
After completing the Literacy Launch Institute, eligible* school and district-based teams may apply for a series of onsite coaching with a customized plan to extend the learning from the Institutes, which includes a combination of facilitated implementation meetings, direct teacher coaching, and a facilitated School Literacy Leadership Team (SLLT) meeting. The aim of this experience is to plan and prepare for sustaining the work after the coaching engagement.
Districts have been selected for School Year 25-26. Stay tuned for future coaching opportunities!
*Eligibility Snapshot:
- School Team: 50% of early literacy educators have attended an Institute
- District Team: 5–10 early literacy leaders have attended an Institute
The Coaching Experience
For School Teams
 The coaching model includes 5-10 days onsite per school over the course of one school year, and will include a customized plan for each school comprised of a combination of the following activities:

District team experience will be similar and adapted from this outline.
Eligibility Requirements
School Teams
The following criteria must be met for a school team to be eligible for follow-up coaching:
1. The team members are from the same school and all have completed a Literacy Launch Institute (any institute in any year).
2. The total number of team members represents a minimum of 50% of the school’s early literacy educators
Who is considered an early literacy educator?

- Building administrators (Principal, Assistant Principal)
- Literacy Specialists/Coaches
- Reading Specialist
- PK-3 Classroom Teachers
- Instructional support teachers working within the PK-3 grade span
- Interventionists
- Special Education Teachers
- ESL Teachers
3. There are a variety of school roles represented on the team. Must include educators representative of each group below:

- Group 1: School/Instructional Leaders
- Principal
- Assistant Principal
- Literacy Coach
- Group 2: Classroom Teachers spanning grade levels PK-3
- Group 1: School/Instructional Leaders

- Group 3: Instructional Support Teachers
- Special Educators
- ESL Teachers
- Interventionists
- Reading Specialists
- Group 3: Instructional Support Teachers
District Teams
The following criteria must be met for a district team to be eligible for follow-up coaching:
1. The team members are from the same district, and can be an already established District Leadership TeamÂ
2. Minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 district-based early literacy leaders who have completed any of the Literacy Launch Institutes
3. Variety of district roles represented on the team. Must include at least one educator representative of each group below:
- Group 1: District Admin
- Superintendent
- Assistant Superintendent
- Chief Academic Officer
- Group 2: District Instructional Support
- MLL Director
- Sp.Ed. Director
- Curriculum Directors
- Literacy Coaches
